Barents’ refined signature is infused with an explorer's spirit. We present a menu with a firm foundation in the very essence of our ingredients, allowing for unexpected revelations in their presentation. Our kitchen's treasures — gifts from the Northern seas, precious finds from the Baltic region's forests, and seasonal countryside bounty — come from fishermen, hunters, and farmers whom we know by name.

We creatively employ ancient cooking methods from around the world — smoking, fermentation, marination — techniques practised in times of both abundance and scarcity. We unite the wisdom of the past with today’s possibilities, creating a system where sustainability is an integral component — a ritual that connects every stage of our creative process.

The Nordic and Baltic regions are often characterised as territories of ascetic flavours, but Barents sees in them a creative approach and deeper understanding of taste. Each ingredient, like a story’s protagonist, we study, understand, and perceive in new contexts.

We explore traditions down to their roots to develop entirely new directions. The tasting menu becomes a narrative where flavour meeting points are deliberately crafted alongside unexpected plot twists.

Cocktail & Seafood Bar

The Seafood Bar, dressed in restrained elegance and ocean depths tones, possesses the charm of old Europe. Here you’ll find classics crafted to the finest detail and signature cocktails with Nordic character.

The Seafood Bar is an excellent place to stop by before a theatre show, conclude a magnificent dinner, or simply enjoy informal elegance in everyday life. The bar’s cocktail ingredients — syrups, bitters, cordials — are created in collaboration with Barents chefs.

Chef's table

The restaurant kitchen is a theatre where the process unfolds without rehearsal. Six privileged seats at the black oak counter open the view to Barents chefs’ harmonious interplay.

Barents is a space for celebrating life’s significant moments, where gastronomic experience intertwines with atmosphere. We recommend smart or smart casual dress code that complements our restaurant’s aesthetic.
We are delighted to welcome our youngest guests who are already familiar with restaurant culture. Please note that we do not serve a separate children’s menu.
To maintain harmony and comfort for all guests, we cannot accommodate pets in Barents premises and terrace. We express our gratitude for your understanding.

Barents seafood bar with its intimate atmosphere is ideally suited for up to 17 guests, while the restaurant can accommodate up to 62 people, and can be reserved for personalised events or private dinners.

Barents Wine Collectors

Barents Wine Collectors is a collection of refined and rare wines, curated by World’s Best Sommelier 2023 Raimonds Tomsons and Latvia’s Best Sommelier 2017 Agnese Gintere.
The collection is designed as a dialogue between masterpieces with cult status and new, unexpected discoveries — rising stars from lesser-known regions whose uniqueness is only beginning to be appreciated.
